RISE

 RISE

Thanks, DeNece, for posting this on FB this morning. It’s exactly perfect for the true attitude we need to have as we go into this new year, 2022. I thought I’d take this motto and add Biblical scripture to it, just for extra emphasis from God.

DON’T GET ANGRY OR ENRAGED OR INSULTED:

Proverbs 16:23 “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”

Ephesians 4:6 “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.”

And what about this one as an answer to DON’T GET INSULTED? Psalm 119:165 “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”

Next, RISE AGAINST THE BULLSHIT:

Proverbs 24:16 “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.”

Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Next, FLICK YOUR LIGHT BACK ON, AND SHINE IT BRIGHTER THAN EVER:

Proverbs 13:9 “The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.”

Matthew 15:15 “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

And lastly, FALL SO DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH YOUR OWN LIFE THAT ANYONE WHO TRIED TO WRONG YOU BECOMES A LAUGHABLE, RIDICULOUS, DISTANT MEMORY:

Mark 12:30-31 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

1 John 3:1 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.”

1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

God says in Psalm 105: 15, “Touch not mine anointed.” And we are those anointed.

I think I’ll put this motto on my mirror and start saying these scriptures to myself every day to get the year started right. I hope you’ll join me. God Bless You and Happy New Year!!!!

Love, Carolyn
